Stefan Irwanto | Mould, VOCs, EMF, Lead Testing

My name is Stefan Irwanto, and I am the founder of Test My Property. I spent more than 17 years of my professional career as an engineer and technical consultant in the medical instrumentation and environmental monitoring industry. I became first aware of the potential health effects caused by EMF whilst working as a biomedical engineer at various hospitals in Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia. Unwillingly, I developed health symptoms associated with EMF exposure due to the high level of radiofrequency from nearby cell towers. In 2016, I began exploring ways of providing effective shielding solutions and tested several materials in accordance with IEEE 299-2006: Method for Measuring the Effectiveness of Electromagnetic Shielding Enclosures.

I have experience in managing complex environmental monitoring projects for a decade. To name a few, I collaborated with the environment regulators to design, manufacture, install, operate, and maintain the air monitoring network throughout Victoria and South Australia. Through our collaboration, we commissioned the first rapid deployment system to monitor the air quality during the bushfire season. These air monitoring stations are still active to date and are used daily to inform the public and the environment regulators.

I have completed a nationally accredited course in Mould Testing (BLDBIO605 Conduct a mould assessment) and Electromagnetic Field Testing (BLDBIO602 Conduct an electromagnetic field assessment) with the Australian College of Environmental Studies (RTO.21740). I hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Biomedical Engineering from RMIT University. In addition, I’m a certified IICRC technician for Water Damage Restoration and Microbial Remediation.

As an Indoor Environmental Professional (IEP), who is also sensitive to mould, I’m committed to assisting our clients in identifying environmental toxins such as mould, VOCs, Lead dust, poor indoor air quality and EMF to reduce exposure where it is practicable. Our mission is to reduce the impact of environmental toxins one property at a time.
